2018 is going to be a good year. It’s just something I’ve decided, in the last few weeks. In order for good things to happen, and for my life to work in my favour, you have to push yourself, no matter how scary and daunting it ca be.
I have had a busy few weeks, a lot has been going on, all good things of course. I passed my driving test! I mean, which is a HUGE achievement for me. It’s something I never thought I could do, but because I pushed myself, and refused to let it terrify me, I just decided to get through it, because I’m far too determined sometimes.
The whole premise of this post is to document my first time getting in the car, with my camera gear in tow, and just drive where I want. I could finally be independent. It felt amazing. So, I drove to Oranmore (Co. Galway) castle, because I’ve always wanted to photograph the area. I finally got to, and I found it very hard to believe.
You can probably see why I’ve always wanted to photograph this location. I mean, look at it?! It’s stunning. It was such a thrilling feeling, to hop into the car, and go where I want. For years, I doubted myself, and distanced myself from the sheer idea of driving. What an idiot I was. But, I’m glad it’s happening now. Better late than never, right? 🚗🚗
I’m just going to let the pictures do the talking, because I talk too much. Okay, bye. 👋
Amongst all the beautiful scenery, of course there had to be an empty can of cider nestled into twigs. No wonder Ireland is stereotyped so much. But, I did find it quite funny. It’s important to recycle folks. ♻️
This was my first little outing, with my camera, and I felt such independence. It was an amazing way to start the new year, and proves to me, good things can happen. I just have to pursue these challenges, and conquer them.
So, this post is not to show off, I am not a fan of being centre of attention, but this is just to prove to those whom have little belief in themselves. You can do anything you put your mind to. All in good time, don’t push yourself too much. Good things come to those whom are patient. I know that’s not the quote, but it’s true.
Don’t let your fears hold you back. Be bold, be daring, be happy! 💛
Until next time. 💜
