47th Irish Hot Air Ballooning Championships

Yes, you guessed right; I have returned. After a few weeks of feeling like absolute crap with Bronchitis, I’m slowly coming back to myself.

So, as you can guess from the title, a prominent Hot Air Balloon Championship came to Loughrea in September, again! Unfortunately, I wasn’t well enough to go outdoors, I could barely function. Of course some photos came out blurry, but others were perfect. All in all, despite not attending, I’m so glad I could see it from my Mother’s bedroom window. It was an incredible sight, and the booming sound of the balloons as they decorated the skies was magnificent.

Pictures don’t do them justice. It was actually really nice to just sit down at home, and be comfortable and cosy, and still get good shots of the balloons. It tuned out to be a fabulous day for it, which is a surprise for Ireland, we don’t usually get good weather. It was beyond exhilarating watching the hot air balloons rise from the ground, and peak out from behind rows of houses.

So, I shall share with you just a select few of the photos, and leave it at that. I hope Monday treats you well.
