Wow, a post not to do with Nature. That’s a first. But, it’s honestly not shocking that I’m posting one of my cats, as I am in fact an avid crazy cat lady. It is known information, by almost everyone I know. In fact, within my family, there are currently about 8 cats (including 1 dog). And trust me, no matter the chaos, it’s the best thing ever.
Anyway, I love photographing my pets, they’re the most energetic (yet can be incredibly lazy), photogenic, adorable animals. Pet Photography is immensely enjoyable, it’s a fantastic way to bond with your pet. The cat photographed, is known lovingly as Lou Lou (Yes, like the singer, just spelled more uniquely). If you met him, you most likely fall in love with him, even if you are not a huge fan of cats. He is such a kind soul, with an incredible wild streak. Sometimes, if I simply lean my face into his, what he thinks as nudging, is actually head butting. He’s such a charmer, and is unusually expressive. The most sensitive, special, and cleverest cat you’ll ever meet.
That’s the thing about Cats, you may think you own them, but they own you. They sit on you when they want, love you when they want, and shed their hair as much as they want. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. They’re my companions in life, my partners in crime. Our little family of cats, I sometimes (often) consider to be my siblings. Yes, alert the police, I am crazy, but I don’t care. They’re family, not just pets. It’s a great thing to have the chance to capture their personalities, and their enthusiastic characters. To combine both my love of animals and photography, is extremely wonderful. I love photographing animals in their element, it’s truly a marvelous experience.
