Hello, people of Earth!
Yes, another picture of Daffodils. I know, not terribly exciting. But, slowly and surely, it is becoming quite apparent, that an obsession with photographing Daffodils, is creeping up on me. What can I say, I just love flowers. During my walk, I discovered a line of Daffodils, along a wall. Of course, my first instinct was to capture the sheer beauty of these blossoming flowers.
So, yesterday in the spur of the moment, I decided to go on a walk, accompanied by my two favorite things in this world; My camera, and of course, My Mother.
I journeyed around parts of Loughrea I have not encountered for quite some time. Particularly more older sections of this town. It was quite magnificent, as the sun shone down on me, as I strolled through what used to be bustling with trains and people. Sometimes, when you’re really looking, you notice things that you were once completely oblivious too. That’s the beauty of nature, it’s always there, waiting to be admired.
I was well aware, with my camera dangling from my neck, and my baseball cap practically covering my face, that I resembled a tourist, in my own town. A town I have lived in for almost 20 odd years. Oh well, it was as if I was seeing my hometown with new eyes, a new outlook, a new appreciation.
Every so often, when you can, take a walk around your town, to the most unoccupied areas, and admire what once was loved, and appreciated, and crowded with people. It’s truly eye opening.
The plan, from now on, is to get out with my camera as much as I physically can. So, expect to see a lot more pictures in the next coming weeks.
‘Because when you stop and look around, this life is pretty amazing..’
